We're Markets & Securities Services IT Poland, a technology department providing technology services and solutions for the Investment Bank businesses at HSBC. Systems we create enable transactions across multiple asset classes. Our teams work in partnership with the business counterparts to deliver high-throughput systems, from low latency trading applications to large Microservices platforms. We also perform architecture and cloud migrations.
Within MSS IT, we are seeking an Risk and Control Officer to join our Equities & Securities Financing (ESF) Technology team.
What you’ll do
- Keep our production environment safe and maintain effective controls for the services under their care.
- Maintain appropriate IT asset and application inventory.
- Work with key stakeholders to proactively plan and maintain compliance with various technology policies and procedures, such as Service Continuity, Identity and Access Management, Vulnerability & Patch Management, SDLC, Record Keeping and others.
- Be a key contact and escalation point for requests for service information, regular service reviews and remediation of external and internal audits.
- Plan service requirements (e.g., capacity upgrades, upgrade of out-of-support IT assets, etc.).
- Collaborate with key stakeholders within your function, such as other IT service owners, their delegates, application development teams, risk & control officers and infrastructure leads.
What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Experience working in either IT Helpdesk at a senior level or IT Service Management or Infrastructure/Software Support or IT Project Management. (2+ years)
- Ability to effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders, build strong relationships and ensure their needs and expectations are met through proactive and responsive actions.
- Rapid learning capability (training on the job will be provided).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues contributing positively to group project and foster a cooperative and supportive work environment.
- Flexibility in adjusting to ne situations, technologies, and organisational changes, consistently maintain productivity and a positive attitude during transitions.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Good knowledge of ITIL methodologies or ability to demonstrate use of such in areas of Service Lifecycle Management (SLM), Service Continuity, Information Security Management, Change, Incident & Problem Management.
