We’re looking for a skilled and independent Python Developer with Django expertise to join an exciting 3-month project for a fintech client based in the Republic of South Africa. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, is comfortable taking ownership of their work, and can contribute actively to discussions and decisions within an international team. You’ll be expected to work autonomously while staying aligned with the broader technical vision. Fluency in English - both written and spoken is essential, as daily communication with the client and team takes place in English.

 👉 In this role you will:

🔹 Develop and maintain backend applications and systems using Python

🔹 Design and implement efficient and scalable solutions for complex problems

🔹 Write reusable, testable, and efficient code

🔹 Integrate with third-party APIs and back-end services

🔹 Optimize application performance and troubleshoot system issues

🔹 Collaborate with front-end developers, data engineers, and other team members to deliver end-to-end solutions

🔹 Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices

 👉Qualifications and experience required:

🔹 Proficiency in Python with at least 3 years of hands-on experience

🔹 Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design principles

🔹 Experience with Python web frameworks - Django

🔹 Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture

🔹 Experience with data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy

🔹 Familiarity with both SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases

🔹 Experience with version control systems, particularly Git

🔹 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

🔹 Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
