Systems Engineer (Rust)

We're looking for a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join a critical infrastructure team. You'll be a key player in modernizing the service discovery, routing identity and policy stack. This is a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale project that involves extending a production-grade identity system to support new computer platforms.

Essential functions

• Develop cross-platform protocols, focusing on VM-based certificate delegation.

• Build new certificate client libraries and core infrastructure tooling.

• Work with high-stakes infrastructure that impacts service discovery, policy enforcement, and certificate lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Expertise in systems programming with Rust (a must-have), Go, or C.

• Strong understanding of x509 PKI infrastructure, including Certificate Authorities, lifecycle management, and validation chains.

• Experience with custom certificate protocols and their implementation.

• A solid grasp of platform integration for certificate distribution and policy enforcement.

Would be a plus

• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with protocol development or network security.
