Golang Experienced IT Consultant

Location: 100% Remote 

Tasks

• Design and develop backend services using Go (Golang), including a sidecar component and a central gateway service

• Implement gRPC APIs for efficient inter-service communication

• Work with Kubernetes, applying patterns such as sidecar, stateful services, and API extensions

• Integrate with SAP BTP services, especially KMS

• Ensure secure handling of cryptographic operations (DEKs, KEKs, envelope encryption)

• Optionally implement persistence layer using relational databases (RDBMS)

• Follow best practices for security-sensitive code

• Contribute to building a resilient and highly available system

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams while maintaining a high level of independence

Requirements

• Proven experience in Go (Golang) – hands-on development is a must

• Solid knowledge of gRPC and API design

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts: sidecar pattern, stateful services, Deployments, API extensions

• Basic familiarity with Istio and observability tools

• Practical understanding of cryptography basics: DEKs, KEKs, envelope encryption, secure key caching

• Experience with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)

• Previous exposure to SAP BTP, especially KMS, is a strong plus

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks

• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
