Senior QA Automation Engineer (Java)

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong Java skills to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining advanced automated testing frameworks, implementing end-to-end, API, and UI test automation, and shaping the overall testing strategy across the application.

Essential functions

• Design and execute test cases for assigned features or modules, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and adherence to quality standards.

• Contribute to test planning activities, collaborating with QA leads and project managers to estimate effort, define testing milestones, and align QA activities with project timelines.

• Perform test analysis, reviewing requirements, creating test plans, and executing test cases to identify and report defects, contributing to the overall quality of the software.

• Participate in test automation efforts, assisting in the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.

• Collaborating with the team to enhance the overall test automation strategy.

• Contribute to the test automation strategy, identifying opportunities for automation, developing automated test scripts, and collaborating with development teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience with UI, API testing

• Proven experience in test automation using Java, JUnit/TestNG, REST-assured

• Hands-on skills with Selenium/Selenide, Playwright, and UI test automation

• Solid understanding of BDD tools like Cucumber or JBehave

• Familiarity with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI)

• Experience testing in microservices architecture

• Working knowledge of Docker and container-based environments

• Fluent English and strong communication skills

• Strong QA mindset with the ability to collaborate closely with developers and analysts
