Senior QA Automation Engineer | Permanent | Poland (Poznań / Warsaw) | Hybrid

Smart Topaz is working with an international company currently undergoing a large-scale transformation of its digital platforms. The organization is building a modern e-commerce and marketing ecosystem based on cloud infrastructure, headless architecture, and microservices.

As part of this transformation, the company is introducing test automation practices across multiple development teams.

We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer who will play a key role in building and shaping the automation approach while ensuring quality across the entire platform.

The role

• Design and execution of test scenarios covering frontend, backend, and system integrations

• Building and developing a test automation framework from the ground up (Playwright / Selenium)

• Creating and maintaining automated regression, integration, and API tests

• Integration of automated tests with CI/CD pipelines

• Supporting development teams in embedding quality throughout the development lifecycle

• Analyzing defects and collaborating with engineers to resolve issues

• Contributing to QA standards, best practices and process improvements across teams

What we’re looking for

• Several years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automated testing

• Hands-on experience building or developing test automation frameworks

• Experience with tools such as Playwright or Selenium and scripting languages like Python

• Knowledge of API testing and tools such as Postman

• Understanding of CI/CD environments and integrating automated tests into pipelines

• Ability to work across multiple teams and support the adoption of automation practices

• Strong analytical skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving

• Fluent English

• Experience working with microservices-based systems

• Exposure to cloud environments and containerization

• Knowledge of performance or security testing tools

• Familiarity with modern frontend stacks (React or similar)
