Senior Automation QA Engineer (JavaScript)

We're looking for a skilled Automation QA Engineer to join our team and help us transition from mock-based testing to comprehensive live environment testing. You'll play a crucial role in automating manual tests and building robust, reliable test suites for our applications.

Essential functions

• Automate existing mock tests to run on live environments.

• Develop and implement new automated tests for both UI and end-to-end functionalities.

• Replace mock tests with real-world test scenarios.

• Automate currently manual testing processes.

• Debug and troubleshoot test failures, identifying root causes for flaky tests.

• Write clear, maintainable, and reusable test cases.

• Integrate tests into our CI/CD pipelines, embracing a Shift Left Testing mindset for early defect detection.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Playwright for UI and end-to-end testing (including API mocking/interception).

• Experience testing in both Server-Side Rendering (SSR) and Client-Side Rendering (CSR) environments.

• Ability to write clear, maintainable, and reusable test cases.

• Strong knowledge of TypeScript.

• Experience with Jest/Vitest.

Would be a plus

• Experience writing tests for GraphQL/ExpressJS servers.

• Experience writing tests for React UIs.

• Familiarity with various reporting frameworks.

• Ability to use APIs directly for debugging and obtaining mock data.
