QA Automation Engineer (Python)

We’re looking for a QA Engineer with strong Python skills and hands-on experience in test automation to support the development of high-quality, scalable test suites for a modern, fast-paced product environment. The role focuses on creating robust automated tests across API and UI layers, translating Jira requirements into structured test plans, and collaborating closely with the engineering team in an Agile setting. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys combining solid technical testing skills with practical problem-solving and wants to drive quality in a continuously evolving product.

Essential functions

• Execute test cases for assigned features or modules, report defects, and collaborate with other engineers to ensure the thorough testing of software applications.

• Contribute to test planning activities, assisting in estimating effort, defining testing milestones, and actively participating in test strategy discussions.

• Create and maintain product documentation and guides.

• Assist in the execution of performance test scenarios and report findings to senior team members.

• Participate in the setup and maintenance of test environments.

• Contribute to documentation efforts related to performance testing activities.

  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in test automation

• Strong Python programming skills

• Experience with Pytest or other Python-based test frameworks

• Hands-on experience with REST API testing

• Experience with Playwright (UI test automation)

• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL)

• Ability to create detailed test cases and test plans based on Jira stories

• Readiness to work in a later shift aligned with EST time zone

Would be a plus

• Experience with Robot Framework

• Background in automating tests for complex or distributed systems

• Familiarity with continuous integration environments

• Knowledge of additional scripting or automation tools

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum with international teams
