Working hours: 11.00-19.00 CET

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle - from design through development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. 

• Design and develop scalable backend services, including RESTful and GraphQL APIs, serverless architectures, microservices, and workflow orchestration with state machines. 

• Work with relational and non-relational databases, focusing on data modeling, integrity, performance, and maintainability. 

• Build and maintain event-driven systems and data pipelines, integrating with external services and APIs. 

• Develop and optimize backend applications primarily in Node.js and Java. 

• Use AWS cloud services (e.g., Lambda, Step Functions, AppSync, EventBridge, SQS, Kinesis, EC2, Elastic Beanstalk) for deploying and managing applications. 

• Utilize infrastructure-as-code and container orchestration tools such as Terraform and Kubernetes to manage infrastructure and application scalability. 

• Contribute to frontend development when needed (React.js / Next.js), ensuring solid and maintainable implementations. 

• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD for efficient build, test, and deployment processes. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a Lite Agile environment, actively participating in planning, estimation, and retrospectives. 

• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and share knowledge with the team.

  
  

Skills & Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in fullstack development, with strong focus on backend systems. 

• Proficiency in Java and Node.js for backend development. 

• Strong knowledge of API design and architecture (REST & GraphQL). 

• Experience with event-driven architectures, workflow orchestration, and data processing pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as ORM tools. 

• Solid understanding of AWS services and serverless computing (Lambda, Step Functions, AppSync, EventBridge, etc.). 

• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform for container orchestration and infrastructure management. 

• Strong understanding of backend testing practices (unit, integration, end-to-end). 

• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially GitLab CI/CD. 

• Experience with frontend development in React.js / Next.js (nice to have, but not core). 

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken. 

• Openness and adaptability, with willingness to learn new tools and technologies as needed.

• Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Figma) for collaboration with UI/UX teams. 

• Experience building highly scalable distributed systems in enterprise environments.
