At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing, so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

As the Product Manager, you will partner with legal, policy, and technical teams to design capabilities and processes for safe and secure handling of health data. You will also build knowledge in regulatory and policy landscapes.

Fitbit’s wide range of innovative products, including smartwatches, trackers, and a smart scale, help people lead healthier, more active lives by empowering them with data, inspiration, and guidance to reach their health and fitness goals. Coupled with our leading software and Fitbit Premium, our immersive platform experience delivers personalized experiences, insights, and guidance to support our users’ health and wellness. Fitbit’s mission has always been to help make everyone in the world healthier and now, as part of Google we’ll be able to make health even more accessible to everyone.

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze user research and product usage to identify user needs, expectations, and desires for handling health data.
    • Evaluate regulatory and policy landscapes for health data.
    • Collaborate with a team of stakeholders across Design, Engineering, Policy, Legal, and more to define and deliver data governance programs and capabilities.
    • Monitor, improve, and optimize the governance programs.

    Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
    • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
    • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Experience influencing cross-functional teams, driving new initiatives and product decisions.
    • Experience with user experience intuition and building user-friendly products.
    • Experience with data management systems and problem areas.
    • Ability to prioritize and balance resources, while ensuring milestones are met on time and with high quality.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
    • Excellent technical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

    Benefits:

    • Health and Wellbeing (Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents)
    • Financial wellbeing (Competitive compensation, regular bonus and equity refresh opportunities)
    • Flexibility and time off (Paid time off, including vacation, bereavement, jury duty, sick leave, parental leave, disability, and holidays)
    • Family support and care (Fertility and growing family support, parental leave and baby bonding leave)
    • Community and personal development (Educational reimbursement)
    • Googley extras (Inspiring spaces to work, recharge, and collaborate with fellow Googlers)
