Role Overview
We are seeking an Implementation Specialist to support the delivery and scaling of the NetTickIT software solution across retail clients in the UK and Europe as the company continues to grow. This is a client-facing, hands-on role that requires collaboration with IT, marketing, commercial, and operations teams within retail businesses.
The role focuses on requirements gathering, solution design, system configuration, integration coordination, and client onboarding, ensuring projects move efficiently from conception through to full implementation.
This is not a pure development role. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and technical capability with the ability to work directly with clients, understand their business processes, and translate requirements into a robust and scalable NetTickIT configuration.
The Implementation Specialist will report directly to the Head of Software and will work closely with Project Management, Development, Sales, and Operations teams, ensuring alignment between client requirements, system configuration, and overall platform capability.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Delivery Engagement
Act as a primary delivery contact for NetTickIT implementations
Run client workshops to gather business and technical requirements
Advise clients on best-practice use of NetTickIT and Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs)
Demonstrate NetTickIT to prospective clients
Solution Configuration & Implementation
Configure NetTickIT system data, business rules, templates, and workflows
Support integration design (file-based and API-based) in collaboration with developers
Set up and validate UAT and production environments
Support PoC delivery, rollout planning, and go-live activities
Produce configuration and implementation specifications
Testing, Training & Handover
Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Troubleshoot configuration and integration issues
Deliver customer training sessions (web application, mobile app, ESLs)
Create customer-specific documentation and handover materials
Support transition into second-line support
Continuous Improvement & Scale
Identify manual delivery steps and work with the team to automate them
Help reduce lead time from opportunity to live environment
Support internal delivery planning and workload forecasting
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
Proficiency in English
Technologies: strong working knowledge of Windows Server and SQL Server
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into system configuration
Understanding of API-based and file-based integrations
Comfortable working directly with customers in workshops and delivery calls
Experience with system configuration, integrations, or enterprise software platforms
Strong documentation skills (requirements, specifications, user guides)
Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
Willingness to travel for business several times per year
Desirable
Technologies: .NET Framework, C#, Visual Studio
Retail domain knowledge (multi-store environments, labelling, operations)
Experience with product and pricing systems (ERP), Point of Sale (POS), and ESLs
Experience supporting retail implementation projects
Exposure to cloud-based environments (AWS and/or Azure)
