Senior Software QA Engineer

As a Senior Software QA Engineer you will conduct quality assurance testing of medium to high complexity software applications. You will design, develop, implement and update software systems in accordance with the needs of the organization. Moreover, you will evaluate, schedule, and allocate resources in development projects. You will investigate user needs, as well as document, test and maintain computer programs.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out procedures to ensure that all information systems products and services meet minimum organization standards and end-user requirements.
• Defining master test plans to document overall testing strategy for a project.
• Thoroughly testing software to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects prior to implementation.
• Documenting all problems.
• Implementing improvements to current procedures and developing models of possible future configurations.
• Performing work flow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
• Establishing quantitative measurements and techniques for measuring software quality.
• Establishing, with assistance, advanced software test standards and methods and conducting complex software tests.
• Participating in review and evaluation of software quality assurance products and services for applicability to in-house needs.
• Assisting with selection of software test engineers for assignment to projects.
• Mentoring and sometimes managing more junior level test engineers.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software automation testing
• Experience with testing the ETL process
• Experience in data integration and validation
• Deep understanding of QA process and best practices
• Strong coding skills (Python)
• Extensive experience with automation frameworks (preferably Robot Framework)
• Good knowledge about SQL
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and Docker
• Being a great team player
