Job description

Tasks: 


  • Manage and maintain the IBMi (AS/400) systems, ensuring their optimal performance, availability, and security. 
  • Install, configure, and upgrade IBMi systems and related software, ensuring they meet the organization's technical requirements. 
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource usage to ensure high availability and efficiency of IBMi environments. 
  • Implement and manage backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and ensure data integrity and system restoration procedures are in place. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams for system integration and upgrades, and create technical documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting. 


Requirements: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in managing and administering IBMi (AS/400) systems, including hardware, software, and OS-level configuration. 
  • Strong knowledge of IBMi OS (IBM i), SQL, and related system tools (e.g., IBM Navigator, PowerShell, RPG/CL programming). 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IBMi hardware, software, and network configurations. 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide user support.
