Manage and maintain the IBMi (AS/400) systems, ensuring their optimal performance, availability, and security.
Install, configure, and upgrade IBMi systems and related software, ensuring they meet the organization's technical requirements.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource usage to ensure high availability and efficiency of IBMi environments.
Implement and manage backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and ensure data integrity and system restoration procedures are in place.
Collaborate with internal teams for system integration and upgrades, and create technical documentation for system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing and administering IBMi (AS/400) systems, including hardware, software, and OS-level configuration.
Strong knowledge of IBMi OS (IBM i), SQL, and related system tools (e.g., IBM Navigator, PowerShell, RPG/CL programming).
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IBMi hardware, software, and network configurations.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and provide user support.
