Storage & Backup Engineer

Your job in a nutshell:

As a Storage & Backup Engineer you will be focusing on implementation, and maintenance of storage systems and backup solutions. Your role involves ensuring data integrity, security, and availability while optimizing storage performance to meet evolving business and client’s needs.

Your expertise contributes to the organization and client’s success by maintaining the integrity and availability of critical information assets.

What will you be doing:

• Deploy, and manage scalable storage solutions (SAN, NAS, and cloud storage) tailored to the client’s requirements
•  Monitor storage and backup systems, analyzing performance metrics and resolving issues to maintain optimal operation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage solutions with cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies
• Resolving day-to-day issues reported in a form of request/incident/problem etc.
• Stay informed about the latest storage and backup technologies, assessing their applicability to the organization’s environment

Must have:

• In-depth knowledge about NetApp Ontap systems in the area of NAS including Cloud solutions
• Knowledge about CIFS/NFS protocols
• Troubleshooting skills
• Analytical thinking
• Team work and proactive attitude
• Azure Fundamentals certification and RestAPI knowledge will be advantage

Nice to have:

• Experience in data migration between Ontap 9 systems
• Experience in Life cycle management
• Basic knowledge of IP networks
• Knowledge of PowerShell
• High quality of documentation
• Basic knowledge and experience in Commvault solutions
• ITIL knowledge and experience with IT service process management
• Basic knowledge about Rubrik as a backup solution
• Knowledge about Ransomware protection
• Disaster recovery
