Senior SAP BW/HANA Developer with SAC expertise

We are seeking a skilled Senior SAP BW/HANA Developer with hands-on experience in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting data models, queries, and reporting solutions within the SAP BW and HANA environment, while also leveraging SAC for modern analytics and dashboarding. This role requires strong technical expertise in native HANA modeling, BW/4HANA, and integration with SAC, with a focus on delivering scalable, high-performance data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop native HANA calculation views and advanced BW/4HANA data models
• Build and optimize data flows, composite providers, and ADSOs for reporting and analytics
• Integrate BW and HANA models with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to enable interactive dashboards and data visualizations
• Work closely with functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions that meet business objectives
• Develop SAC stories and models, ensuring seamless data consumption from BW/HANA and S/4HANA
• Optimize query performance and manage data provisioning strategies
• Perform technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance tuning across BW/HANA and SAC
• Collaborate on system upgrades, enhancements, and migrations
• Maintain clear technical documentation for models, transformations, and reporting layers
• Support end-users with training, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of reporting tools
• Support and enhance SAP Analysis for Office reports, ensuring alignment with business needs
• Possess knowledge of BW/4HANA, S/4HANA integration, and data connectivity
• Understand financial and operational reporting requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in SAP BW and native HANA modeling
• Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including story and model development
• Proficiency in developing calculation views (graphical and SQL-based) in HANA Studio/Web IDE
• In-depth understanding of BW objects (DSO/ADSO, InfoObjects, CompositeProviders, Open ODS Views)
• Experience in integrating HANA/BW data models with SAC and other front-end tools
• Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data sources and integration techniques
• Proficiency in SQL
• Knowledge of ABAP
• Experience in user training, documentation, and knowledge transfer
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) at a minimum B2 level

Nice to have

• SAP BPC experience in financial planning, forecasting, and consolidation
• SAP Certified in BW/4HANA or HANA Modeling
• Experience with SAC planning, modeling, and reporting
• Familiarity with scripting and advanced logic in SAC
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices
