Senior Java Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary agile team within a leading global financial institution.

You will work closely with business and technology teams to deliver high-quality software solutions supporting fixed-income trading platforms.

This role offers a hybrid model, allowing you to work 3 days a week from our Kraków office.

Responsibilities

• Provide technology solutions that address business problems

• Design and implement software components according to requirements

• Take responsibility for ensuring the delivery and quality standards of software

• Spend time with the customer to determine and understand deliverables

• Support business in platform rationalization and optimization

• Continue removing technical debt and platform standardization

• Support business in migration to strategic platform

• Work with other IT teams across the globe

Requirements

• Proficiency in the Java programming language and related frameworks, such as Spring Core, with 3+ years of experience

• Hands-on experience with Oracle RDBMS

• Proficiency in the Linux operating system

• Good understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Good analytical and debugging skills for large existing code bases

• English proficiency at the B2 Upper-Intermediate level

Nice to have

• Enterprise Messaging technologies such as Tibco RV, EMS, Kafka

• SSL/TLS Certifications

• Experience with Apache Tomcat

• Familiarity with build tools like Maven and Ant

• Experience with GitLab version control system

• Understanding of Agile methodologies

• Knowledge of Microservices architecture

• Experience with the Azure cloud platform

• Familiarity with containerization technologies
