Senior Java Developer

Join our team as a Senior Java Developer and be part of a group that maintains and extends a mission-critical, high-availability, and low-latency platform responsible for handling orders and trade processing across a wide spectrum of investment products — including stocks, derivatives, bonds, funds, forex, precious metals, and structured products — across multiple exchanges.

The platform continues to expand in the range of asset types it supports, the markets where trading is conducted, and the countries where it is being introduced.

This role offers a hybrid model, allowing you to work three days a week from our office in Kraków.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements

• Develop high quality, maintainable code for mission critical system

• Collaborate with customers and teams in other locations on a daily basis

• Work closely with senior engineers, PMs, BAs and business users (clients) in order to find the best possible technical solution for the project/available requirements

• Support the production users and investigate issues in production when contacted by the L2 support team

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of Java with 3+ years of relevant experience

• Basic UNIX/Linux user experience

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Understanding of multithreading in Java

• Responsible, self-motivated team player

• Great team work skills

• Good communication and time management skills

• Pragmatic approach to software development

• Attention to software quality

Nice to have

• Experience in Kafka development

• Advanced level of English

• Positive improvement-oriented attitude
