Lead Developer - SAP CAP based Java

We are seeking a Lead Developer to become an integral part of our SAP AI CoE team.

In this dual role, you will serve as the key developer for our Governance Application, essential for the worldwide release of Joule, while also stepping in as the successor for the Key SAP Architect in discussions regarding the Joule implementation. This position requires traveling to the client in Germany every 2nd-3rd week.

Responsibilities

• Develop key features for the Governance Application
• Collaborate with the team to ensure successful implementation of the Joule project
• Participate in regular meetings with the product manager and key architect
• Implement microservice architecture for scalable applications
• Utilize SAP HANA Database to optimize performance
• Contribute to the design and architecture of the system
• Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Engage in troubleshooting and debugging efforts
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers

Requirements

• Experience in SAP CAP based Java with 5+ years
• Proficiency in JavaScript
• Background in SAP HANA Database and SAP Business Technology Platform
• Knowledge of microservice architecture style
• Understanding of cloud technologies
• Strong architecture mindset with a focus on scalable solutions
• Fluency in English at a professional level
