The role will be to oversee all aspects of the delivery process, including technical hands-on aspects, requiring former engineering experience. You will be accountable for your team's performance and deliverables, as well as client expectations management, ensuring projects are accomplished on time, within budget, and within the agreed scope.
As part of delivery governance duties, you will be exposed to customers' management as well as executives, and you will take part in account development strategy shaping, building strong, professional relations with the client.
Additionally, an important part of this role will be people leadership and contribution to our organization growth. You will be responsible for creating a satisfying working environment for your team members, supporting their career development plans, and keeping them motivated.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee end-to-end delivery for one of our accounts, managing technology, process, and people-related aspects
Establish delivery governance on the project in accordance with the EPAM Quality Management System
Define team structure, necessary roles, and skillset with P&L awareness
Adopt best engineering practices to provide quality delivery and high productivity
Assemble and manage your engineering team according to the given engagement model
Manage the staffing process and support hiring in case of composing your team with external candidates
Manage your team’s performance and overall delivery health with a data-driven approach, supported by selected metrics or KPIs relevant to your project engagement model
Understand the business context of your client and project, your key stakeholders, and manage their expectations
Understand not only what solution you are building for the customer but also why the customer needs it in the first place
Oversee the architecture of build solutions, understand components, their technical capabilities and limitations, and be able to make key technical decisions to deliver flexible and sustainable solutions
Act as the client’s contact point for day-to-day delivery communication, deal with escalations, and support in conflict solving
Ensure project profitability, manage the CSAT process
Participate in the statement of work and customer proposals preparation
Ensure delivery compliance with respective standards, policies, and regulations, including ISO, ISAE, and GDPR among others
Maintain the right balance between customer satisfaction and your team’s motivation in order to maintain sustainable long-term successful delivery
REQUIREMENTS
Experience in IT project or program management, supervising complex delivery with multiple delivery streams. Experience delivering cloud solutions
Prior experience with a hands-on engineering role in any of the leading technologies
Software architecture and software engineering practices knowledge
Ability to drive technical discussions and cooperate with technically skilled and non-technical stakeholders
Hands-on experience establishing delivery governance on the project, which means selection of delivery approach and tailoring required processes/workflows to execute the project within given constraints: scope, timeline, budget, quality, team, risks, and customer satisfaction
Understanding and exposure to different software development methodologies (waterfall, agile, scaled agile, hybrid)
Ability to design and tune an effective agile delivery process that serves the right purpose and fits an existing environment
Experience with data-driven delivery, establishing, monitoring, reporting, and taking actions based on delivery metrics relevant to a given engagement model
Ability to engage with the customer. Building and maintaining professional relations, understanding the customer’s organization needs, goals, and challenges is key
Taking leadership in solving all the questions on the project, no matter what kind they are - technical, infrastructure, HR, administrative - any kind
Experience in people leadership, including motivation, performance, retention, and recognition management in your project. Knowing your team is essential to succeed
Strong experience in presales, proposal writing, and sales pitches
Practical footprint in P&L management and ensuring project profitability
Excellent communication skills; fluent spoken and written English, as well as B2-level Polish, is mandatory
Desire to grow AI-related experience, promoting AI-supported SDLC and AI-based solutions delivered for the customer
