Senior Azure DevOps Engineer

Introduction & Summary:

We are seeking a skilled **Senior Azure DevOps Engineer** with proven expertise in managing and implementing solutions in the Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in **CI/CD pipelines**, **Infrastructure as Code**, and various Azure monitoring tools, ensuring the efficiency and security of cloud operations. This role requires proficiency in scripting languages and a solid understanding of cloud networking principles.

You will be working on the internal emagine OPS team that supports a large development team. You will have a high degree of responsability and are expected to a responsible “do’er”.

Main Responsibilities:

• Maintaining, designing, and implementing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.

• Creating, managing, and monitoring cloud resources within the Azure ecosystem.

• Automating the provisioning and configuration of environments to support the development lifecycle.

• Implementing and managing monitoring and alerting solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics Workspace, Kusto Query Language (KQL), and Azure Alerts to ensure system health and performance.

• Containerizing applications using Docker.

• Ensuring the security of the Azure environment by implementing the principle of least privilege, managing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), private endpoints, and secure Azure networking configurations.

• Providing basic administration and support for Azure SQL databases.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a DevOps role with a strong focus on the Azure cloud platform.

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for building and managing CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep or Terraform.

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Bash.

• Experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker.

• Demonstrable experience with Azure monitoring tools, including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics Workspace, and Kusto.

• A solid understanding of core internet protocols and services (e.g., DNS, HTTP/S) and general web security principles.

• Knowledge of Azure networking solutions (e.g., Azure Front Door, Application Gateway) and familiarity with third-party providers like Cloudflare.

• Fundamental knowledge of SQL and experience with Azure SQL database management.

• Solid understanding of secure cloud practices and networking in Azure, including RBAC, private endpoints, and virtual networks.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with C# and the .NET framework.

• Basic programming skills and the ability to understand application code.
