Senior Application Support Engineer
Hybrid model: Gdynia, 3 days a week, onsite
Rate: up to 140 PLN/h net + VAT

For one of our international banking clients, we are looking for an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer who will take ownership of critical banking applications and ensure their stability in production environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the technical authority for applications in production, solving complex incidents, and working closely with development teams to keep systems reliable, efficient, and continuously improving.
What you will be doing
• Act as the technical expert responsible for the applications assigned to you in production• Investigate and resolve production incidents by analysing logs, monitoring data, and system behaviour• Coordinate deployments of fixes, preventive changes, and minor enhancements• Ensure that releases are properly prepared, deployed, and validated in production• Collaborate with development teams during upgrades and the introduction of new functionalities• Review technical solutions and designs to ensure they are maintainable and production-ready• Participate in go-live preparations and take responsibility for running the application in production• Conduct root cause analysis after incidents and propose preventive improvements• Continuously look for ways to improve system stability, monitoring, and operational processes
What we expect
• Experience supporting business-critical applications in production environments• Previous experience in banking or financial services, ideally with payment or account systems• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyse system behaviour and logs• Working knowledge of Splunk for monitoring and investigation• Basic SQL skills for querying and analysing data• Understanding of how applications are deployed and operated in production environments• Ability to work independently and handle complex technical problems• Excellent communication skills in English
Nice to have
• Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics or Grafana• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or SQL databases• Experience working within ITIL processes (incident, problem, and change management)
