We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst to join our client team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing data from CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker) and supporting software asset management activities across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze software usage data, primarily focusing on cloud-based applications.
- Collaborate with various internal teams to ensure software license compliance.
- Manage data in SAM tools such as Flexera One, Snow, or CMDB (e.g., BMC Helix).
- Create detailed reports and data visualizations to support decision-making.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Desirable Knowledge:
- Technical details about software applications, licensing models, and publishers.
- Understanding of SaaS/cloud usage and associated compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of software licensing agreements and compliance standards.
Experience:
- Software License Management, with a focus on cloud applications.
- Experience with SAM tools such as Flexera One, Snow, or similar.
- Familiarity with CASB tools.
- Experience working with CMDB tools like BMC Helix.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams in large organizations.
Technical Skills (Required):
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros).
Technical Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI, or similar data visualization software.
- SQL and SharePoint knowledge.
- Familiarity with SAM frameworks, licensing models, and ITIL principles.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong critical thinking to assess data relevance and accuracy.
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure data quality and precision.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or gaps in datasets.
- Effective communication and documentation skills for summarizing research and findings.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to improve data quality.
