emagine consulting is seeking an experienced Data Migration Project Manager to support a large-scale separation programme within a regulated financial services environment. The role will focus on governance and delivery oversight of complex data migration activity across a legacy insurance platform estate.

This opportunity is suited to individuals who are comfortable operating in highly regulated environments, balancing strong governance discipline with sufficient technical understanding to oversee reconciliation, validation and regulatory compliance activity.

 

The role:

  • Establish and lead governance frameworks for data migration activities across multiple workstreams.

  • Define and implement structured reconciliation and validation controls for customer, financial, operational and application data.

  • Oversee migration sign-off processes and ensure full audit traceability from source to target systems.

  • Engage with 1LOD business data owners to define accountability and approval frameworks.

  • Engage with 2LOD Risk and Compliance functions to ensure regulatory alignment and control evidence.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks including the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

  • Work alongside technical architects and SMEs to translate technical migration plans into executable delivery roadmaps.

  • Manage interdependencies across business, data and technology workstreams.

  • Establish appropriate service management and service desk models to support post-migration stability.

  • Provide structured reporting to programme leadership, governance forums and steering committees.

  • Manage RAID logs, control documentation and regulatory artefacts.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Significant Project Management experience within Financial services or insurance specfic environments.

  • Proven experience delivering platform separations, carve-outs or large-scale data migrations in regulated financial services.

  • Strong experience governing data reconciliation, validation and migration sign-off processes.

  • Experience working across legacy policy administration systems and heritage technology estates.

  • Demonstrable experience engaging 1LOD Business Owners and 2LOD Risk/Compliance functions.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory expectations within UK financial services environments.

  • Experience operating within structured PMO and governance-led delivery models.

  • Comfortable operating where programme structures, data volumes or tooling are still being defined.

  • Strong governance-led project management approach.

  • Ability to bridge business, risk and technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Solid understanding of enterprise data architecture concepts (non-hands-on).

  • Strong stakeholder management and executive reporting skills.

  • Clear, confident written documentation capability for audit and regulatory review.

  • High attention to detail with strong organisational discipline.

  • Comfortable working on-site and collaborating within client and emagine delivery teams.
