IT Project Manager Cloud (GCP)

Summary: This position requires an experienced Project Manager with 8-10 years of end-to-end project management leadership, specifically in large-scale, complex IT environments. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to lead cloud migration projects with strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, and SAFe methodologies. Expertise in managing budgets of $5M-$20M, vendor relationships, and stakeholder management is essential.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Project Manager, your core duty will be to define and manage the project roadmap along with governance models. Key responsibilities include:

• Define roadmap, milestones, and governance model

• Define, plan, and execute program/project plans

• Direct large-scale technical projects with multiple stakeholders

• Manage application, data, and infrastructure migration projects

• Drive Agile release and sprint governance

• Build and manage program budgets and cloud spend tracking

• Run Steering Committees and executive reporting

• Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and mitigation strategies

• Ensure security, compliance, and audit readiness

• Manage change, adoption, and training plans

• Oversee vendors, managed service providers (MSPs), and system integrators

• Define acceptance criteria for deliverables and oversee sign-off

• Track and report project team performance and deliverable quality

• Build in time for risk mitigation and optimal resource utilization

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously with agility and proactivity

• Collaborate with cloud architects, engineers, and business leaders

• Develop and execute communication, training, and post-delivery support plans

• Keep PMO, Program, and Portfolio Managers informed; escalate risks/issues as needed

• Facilitate SAFe ceremonies (PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, demos) within Agile Release Trains

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or a directly related field

• 8-10 years of project management experience

• Proven ability to lead projects in complex IT environments

• Experience in Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid, and SAFe methodologies

• Strong exposure to cloud programs: AWS, Azure, GCP

• Cloud migration knowledge

• Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/ARM/CFN)

• Financial management experience with budgets between $5M-$20M

• Vendor and contract management experience

• Awareness of risk, compliance, and security standards: GDPR

• Executive stakeholder management abilities

• Proficiency with MS Project, JIRA, Azure DevOps, Power BI, PPM

• Ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP)

• Experience in leading cross-functional teams

• Familiarity with emerging cloud technologies

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
