Emagine is looking for a Group Accounting Manager to one of our clients in Stockholm.
Start: ASAP (3-6 months contract initially with possible extension)

About the Role
We are looking for a Group Accounting Manager (reporting to the Group Financial Controller) responsible for managing group financial consolidations and financial reporting, while playing a key role in ad hoc financial reporting and accounting projects as we automate and upgrade systems and policies.
This role ensures compliance with accounting standards, delivers high-quality consolidated group reporting, and provides financial insights to senior management.
We are seeking a qualified professional with a minimum of eight years' relevant experience gained in industry roles post-qualifying with a Big 4 firm or equivalent.
What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the group(s)
Ensure compliance with IFRS / GAAP and statutory reporting requirements
Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial reporting across subsidiaries and business units
Manage the group consolidation process at month-end and the associated systems
Ensure accuracy of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow reporting
Investigate and report on variances in balance sheets and cash flows as part of month-end close
Participate in the preparation of monthly management accounts and the Board Pack
Accounting, Controls & Audits
Ensure accurate general ledger management and reconciliations at group level
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, UK GAAP, Swedish GAAP, US GAAP)
Assist in the delivery of external and internal audits
Support variance analysis and deliver financial insights to leadership
Promote best-practice financial management across the organisation
Strategic Support
Lead the project analysing historical balances in the existing consolidation system; identify and drive implementation of a new system if needed, with both accounting and commercial considerations in mind
Support integration of newly acquired businesses and improvement of financial systems and processes from a reporting and consolidation perspective
Who You Are
Qualified accountant — ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent
Extensive experience in financial accounting, reporting, control, and group consolidation (Aaro experience is a significant bonus)
Strong knowledge of accounting standards — IFRS, US GAAP, and/or Swedish GAAP
Experience managing multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations
High proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred)
Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Enthusiastic about building, scaling, and automating within a growing business
