Firewall Specialist

Summary: The role focuses on maintaining the security and functionality of a large firewall environment through regular updates, addressing vulnerabilities, and executing service requests efficiently to safeguard network integrity.

Main Responsibilities:

• Technical planning of updates

• Preparation of necessary activities and creation of change requests

• If required, presenting the activities in various Change Advisory Boards

• Execution and post-implementation review of updates

• Execution of firewall service orders (e.g., firewall rule activations and deletions)

Key Requirements:

• Very good networking knowledge

• Excellent know-how in Fortinet and Checkpoint technologies

• Knowledge of GitLab and Ansible

• High commitment to the quality of work

• Experience in dealing with internal and external customers

• Good communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience in a banking-regulated environment

• Willingness to work outside normal hours (evenings and weekends)

• German language skills - is a plus
