AWS Infrastructure Engineer
Summary: The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and continuously improving modern infrastructure and storage platforms across hybrid and cloud-native environments. This role focuses on building reliable, scalable, and secure infrastructure services that support critical business and research workloads.

Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and operate infrastructure services across hybrid and cloud-native environments.
Continuously improve infrastructure and storage platforms.
Perform platform operations, automation, and performance optimization.
Handle troubleshooting and capacity planning tasks.
Contribute to the reliability and resilience of infrastructure services.
Collaborate across teams to drive stability and scalability.
Key Requirements:
Experience with distributed storage technologies such as Weka, Qumulo, and Ceph.
Experience with Kubernetes and containerized platforms.
Knowledge of secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault.
Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies.
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) experience (e.g. Terraform, Ansible).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability platforms.
Experience working with Linux-based infrastructure environments.
Experience with scripting/programming for automation (e.g. Python, Bash, Go) is beneficial.
Nice to Have:
Understanding of data privacy, data protection, and information security principles.
Experience handling sensitive and regulated data in enterprise environments.
Awareness of GDPR and other applicable data privacy regulations.
Ability to follow operational and security governance procedures.
