IT Support Engineer
Responsibilities of the role:
We search for talents, who are willing to start their carrier in IT and develop their technical skills in selected technologies (Wintel, Unix/Linux, Backup and Storage, Database Administration, Cloud). This position will have overall responsibility for engineering and day-to-day support of the IT systems for DXC Customers. Will be responsible to troubleshoot and resolve configuration or performance problems on specific platform level. Will be required to monitor, meet and report on Service Level Agreements. Implement and Manage security policies and standards.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Bachelor's or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience is required
- Knowledge of any of below areas will be an advantage:
- Windows Administration
- Linux Administration
- SQL Database Administration
- SAN/NAS various backup solutions knowledge
- Virtualization technologies (any of: VMware, RHV, Oracle VM, KVM)
- Should have excellent communication skills, both towards your team members as well as towards the client, and be used to flexible work hours, sometimes working in a 24/7-setting
- Good verbal and written English communication skills
