We are seeking a Hands-On Java Team Lead to guide our team in developing a cutting-edge data collection platform that helps mobile marketing managers optimize their business performance. You’ll lead a talented team of developers and work closely with product managers and engineers to deliver value to customers in the rapidly growing mobile marketing space.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with a passion for excellence
• 3+ years of experience leading a team of at least 3 developers
• Solid knowledge of Kafka, SQS, K8s, Postgres, and event-driven systems
• Experience with large-scale SaaS production services and databases
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, Go, Clojure, etc.)
• Proficiency with database technologies such as SQL, Athena, and BigQuery
• A team player with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to quickly grasp new languages, systems, and frameworks
• Strong drive to deliver results as part of a team

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of 4-5 Frontend and Backend developers
• Develop and enhance our data collection platform to support marketing data aggregation at scale
• Solve complex technical problems related to scalability, performance, and system stability
• Collaborate with product managers and software engineers to deliver customer value
• Optimize engineering processes and tools to enhance team productivity
• Analyze and improve the performance, scalability, and stability of our products and systems
• Stay up to date with new technologies to ensure continuous improvement and innovation
• Participate in our on-call rotation and monitor the system to ensure reliable performance

Good to have:

• Solid knowledge of Clojure
• Experience in functional programming
• B.Sc. in Computer Science or an equivalent
