Job description

5 day per week you need to be available until 9:00 PM for meetings with the US team.

We are looking for Senior Java Developer for our customer- AirBnB- an online marketplace connecting people who want to rent out their homes with people looking for accommodations in specific locales. Together with them, we are building a world-class payments platform that moves billions of dollars, in 191 countries, with 75 currencies, through a complex ecosystem of payments partners. They are also reinventing how to serve users to improve performance, scalability and extensibility. 


Responsibilities:

  • Apply best practices from previous industry experience, whilst adhering to our own engineering principles of writing high quality, secure code that is modular, functional and testable 
  • Attend meetings with clients and peers, including stakeholders from diverse cultural and technical backgrounds. 
  • Perform system monitoring and triaging, analyzing telemetry data, identifying metrics anomalies, and troubleshooting root causes across microservices, databases, and supporting infrastructure. 
  • Create and maintain dashboards in monitoring tools such as Grafana. 
  • Participate in cloud-native infrastructure tasks, including Kubernetes configuration and CI/CD workflows. 
  • Support PST time zone (with on-call overlap till 21) 


And if you possess...

  • At least 5 years of working experience with Java (knowledge of Kotlin, Ruby, or Python is a plus). 
  • Experience with microservice architecture. 
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tooling. 
  • Understanding of system monitoring concepts, telemetry data, metrics interpretation, and root cause analysis. 
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana preferred). 
  • Understanding of payment processing concepts is a strong plus. 
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in complex and unfamiliar environments. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues at both technical and business levels. 
  • Excellent English communication skills
