Python Engineer – DevSecOps Startup (fully remote)
Python Engineer – DevSecOps Startup (fully remote)
You will join a fast-growing DevSecOps startup building a platform that analyzes codebases, CI/CD pipelines and cloud tooling to deliver real-time security and engineering insights.
This is not an enterprise environment with BAs, long specs and perfect tickets.
This is a product startup looking for engineers who build independently.
This role is for you if:
You don’t need a strict Definition of Done to be productive
You’re comfortable with high-level goals instead of detailed specs
You enjoy figuring things out and making good engineering decisions
You like owning features from idea to production
If you need step-by-step instructions, this won’t be a good fit.
If you like turning ideas into working software, it will.
What you’ll do:
Build and evolve the Python core engine of a DevSecOps product
Create services that analyze repositories, pipelines and cloud tooling
Implement rules, scoring and automation
Improve performance, reliability and scalability as the product grows
Core skills required:
Strong Python skills and experience building microservices or backend APIs
Experience with cloud-native tooling and writing CLI tools in Python
Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design
Practical experience with AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS)
Familiarity with authentication systems (Cognito, Authentik or similar)
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred)
A DevSecOps mindset — you think about reliability, performance and security from day one
Nice to have:
TypeScript
NestJS
React
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK)
Offer:
• 110–130 PLN / hour
• B2B / contractor
• Full-time offer, but part-time also possible
