Senior Java Backend Developer –

Microservices (Contract)

Location: Gdansk or Warsaw, Poland

Work Mode: Hybrid – 1 day onsite per week

Seniority: 7+ years experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend systems and microservices• Develop RESTful APIs and web services• Participate in architecture reviews and optimisation initiatives• Debug, profile, and optimise applications• Integrate external APIs and services• Write and maintain technical documentation

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Java 8+

• Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA, Hibernate

• Microservices development using HTTP, REST, JSON, XML

• Messaging and distributed systems experience (Kafka)

• Strong understanding of SOA principles and web services (REST & SOAP)

• Experience with Relational or NoSQL databases

• Exposure to containerisation & orchestration technologies

• Experience with React or advanced JavaScript

• Tools: Docker, Git, Maven, Jenkins
