Senior Data Engineer (Remote – Poland) / HX2/E

Dear Consultant,

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a Data Ingestion & Data Product Factory team, working on near real-time data pipelines and enterprise-grade data products used across multiple business functions.

The role involves close collaboration with Technical Leads, Product Owners, and cross-functional engineering teams, with strong emphasis on stability, performance, and scalability. Send CV to (marcillina.tietjen@dcvtechnologies.co.uk)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance near real-time and batch data ingestion pipelines

• Develop resilient, fault-tolerant, modular data processing code

• Contribute to architecture and design sessions with focus on performance and traceability

• Maintain and optimize existing data pipelines and services

• Support the full lifecycle: Ingestion → Consumption → Activation

• Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth delivery of data products

• Research and implement improvements to data engineering practices and tooling

• Produce clear technical documentation and reporting

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Data ingestion frameworks (near real-time & batch)

  • Python

  • SQL

  • Distributed data processing (e.g. Spark)

• Experience building high-availability, fault-tolerant data pipelines

• Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-based data platforms

• Exposure to data product / data mesh concepts

• Experience supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
