Data Technical Specialist Developer - with occasional travel (1–2 days per month) to Warsaw, Poland – XVT (PL/STD)

We are seeking a Data Technical Specialist Developer to join the XVA Product Team (Quants, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Methodology, Internal Model Validation, Trading Desk, Sales). The role focuses on defining and implementing modular processes that enhance the advanced engine’s calculation capacity for reprocessing and incremental workloads.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teams with expertise, guiding decisions with clarity and determination.

• Ensure process effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

• Gather, document, and analyze business requirements, workflows, and processes.

• Conduct GAP analysis and translate user requirements into technical solutions.

• Manage multiple concurrent projects at various stages with diverse technologies.

• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in CIB Markets area projects.

• Strong knowledge of Trading Desk & Risk metrics (CVA, DVA, FVA).

• Advanced expertise in:

  • Programming: Java, Python (Scala a plus).

  • Storage: AWS S3, Azure Data Lake Storage.

  • Ingestion/Messaging: Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub.

  • Orchestration: Sqoop, Flume, Airflow.

  • Processing/Compute: Apache Spark, Databricks, Hive/Impala.

  • Metadata/Governance: Hive Metastore, Delta Lake, Glue Data Catalog, Apache Atlas.

  • Formats: Parquet, ORC, JSON.

  • Big Data/DB: Spark SQL, Delta Lake, Cloud SQL.

• Familiarity with C++ desirable.

• Experience in Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) with tools like Jira, Confluence.

• Knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, Sonar, ServiceNow, Hue.
