IT Analyst with Mainframe

IT Analyst with Mainframe

(office: Warsaw/ Gdansk/Gdynia)

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, understand, and document strategic objectives and functional requirements
2. Translate business strategies into actionable technical specifications
3. Prepare, manage, and refine requirements related to Mainframe applications
4. Work closely with developers, architects, and technical teams to ensure accurate implementation of business needs
5. Analyze and map existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement
6. Design and propose optimized business processes aligned with organizational goals
7. Participate in and support user acceptance testing (UAT); gather feedback and ensure stakeholder sign-off
8. Provide training, documentation, and post-implementation support to business users
9. Generate reports and deliver insights on solution performance and effectiveness
10. Collaborate in an international and cross-functional environment

Requirements:

1. 5–8 years of experience in IT or business analysis roles
2. Previous experience in banking or financial services, especially consumer card services, is highly preferred
3. Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and SDLC practices
4. Proven experience with data mapping, data migration, and process modeling
5. Hands-on experience with SQL and technical tools for analysis
6. Solid understanding of the cards domain and regulatory landscape in banking
7. Ability to effectively communicate with developers and technical teams
8. Proficiency in analysis methodologies and modeling tools
9. Hands-on experience working with Mainframe applications and environments, including understanding of legacy system architecture, batch processes, and data structures
10. Very good command of English (oral and written)
