Data Migration Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Perform data migration tasks, including data exploration, analysis, cleansing, and migration to new systems
• Collaborate with project teams, business owners, and technical experts to understand migration requirements
• Develop and document migration templates and scripts using SQL-like languages (e.g., Data Virtuality)
• Conduct data testing to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business functions
• Create and maintain migration runbooks to support smooth data transitions
• Identify and mitigate data quality risks by discussing issues with business stakeholders
• Work closely with data engineers on integrating new systems into the data platform
• Translate complex data concepts into clear insights for technical and business teams

Requirements:

• 5 years of SQL data analysis experience, preferably for migration purposes
• Demonstrable migration experience
• Experience writing SQL scripts
• Experience with testing for data & analysis purposes
• Can easily understand new systems by discussing requirements with business and technical people
• Ability to translate data into business functions and DQ risks
• English level: B2, C1
