We are looking for a Data Engineer who will join our rapidly growing team.
Responsibilities
Develop, operate, optimize, test, and maintain the business’s data warehouse, as well as develop ETL processes, cube development for database and performance administration, and dimensional design of table structures
Drive the full life-cycle of back-end development of the business’s data warehouse, as well as develop ETL processes, cube development for the database, and performance administration, and dimensional design of table structures
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
Define data retention policies
Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insights into key business performance metrics, including operational efficiency and customer acquisition
Choose and integrate tools for monitoring, managing, alerting, and improving customer database performance
Develop and implement automated processes that ensure uninterrupted updating and correction of database vulnerabilities
Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
Requirements
5+ years of experience or over 5 completed projects
Knowledge of data management fundamentals (data modeling, ELT/ETL, data quality, metadata management, data warehouse/lakes patterns, distributed systems)
AWS/Azure cloud
Snowflake and Databricks are must-haves
Strong proficiency with SQL and its variations among popular databases
Experience with some modern relational databases
Knowledge of the programming language Python
