About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Integration Architect to join an international architecture team working on complex integration initiatives related to mergers, acquisitions, and enterprise platform modernization.

The role is delivered for one of our clients in the logistics industry, where you will support the integration of complex enterprise environments following acquisitions and large-scale platform transformations.

This role focuses on designing interim and target-state integration architectures that ensure business continuity while enabling long-term consolidation across legacy and newly integrated environments.

We are particularly looking for someone with strong experience in the integration domain, capable of navigating complex integration landscapes and aligning multiple systems, platforms, and stakeholders.

You will work across multiple integration domains including public APIs, internal APIs, customer-facing systems, and event-driven integration patterns, helping shape the architecture of a complex enterprise integration ecosystem.

The role requires close collaboration with Enterprise Architecture teams, integration teams, and senior IT leadership, ensuring alignment across multiple systems and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess integration landscapes across legacy and newly acquired environments.

• Design interim architecture across legacy and newly integrated systems.

• Define a clear target-state architecture blueprint.

• Establish a phased migration roadmap and risk mitigation strategy.

• Align architecture across:

  • Public-facing APIs.

  • Customer portals.

  • Internal APIs.

  • Event-driven integration patterns.

• Create architectural-level documentation.

• Present and advocate architectural proposals in governance forums.

• Support decision-making at senior and executive IT leadership level.

• Ensure scalability, resilience, security, and performance considerations are embedded in designs.

• Enable clean transition and architectural handover.

Requirements

• 10+ years of enterprise integration architecture experience.

• Demonstrated M&A IT integration experience.

• Experience designing interim and target-state enterprise architectures.

• Proven experience with integration domains including API-led architectures, event-driven systems, and hybrid integration landscapes.

• Experience working with legacy middleware environments.

• Strong communication skills.

• Comfortable operating across multiple teams and complex enterprise environments.

• Ability to work in fast-paced environments across multiple cultures.

Nice to Have

• Experience within logistics, transport, or supply chain environments.

• Experience working in global, cross-cultural organisations.

• Experience delivering architecture blueprints implemented in production environments.

• Ability to simplify complex architectural environments and provide clear architectural direction.
