SAP BI Developer/Consultant (SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Datasphere)

CODA100 is looking for an experienced BI Developer to strengthen our clients’ data infrastructure and enhance their business intelligence capabilities through SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere. 

Project Scope:

The BI Developer will be responsible for the end-to-end development and optimization of business intelligence solutions using SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere. This project includes designing and maintaining robust data models, integrating data sources, and building scalable ETL processes to support high-quality, real-time reporting. The role requires a solid understanding of SAP BI tools, data warehousing, and advanced data transformation processes, working closely with business users and technical teams to deliver reliable and insightful analytics solutions. 

Duties

• Data Models: Design and implement efficient data models in SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere to support a range of reporting requirements. 
• Data Integration: Develop data integration solutions connecting SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere with SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring high-quality, real-time data availability. 
• ETL Processes: Create and maintain scalable ETL processes for extracting, transforming, and loading data, optimizing performance and data accuracy. 
• Documentation: Produce thorough documentation of data models, ETL processes, and reporting structures to support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements. 
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and fine-tune BI solutions for optimal performance, scalability, and responsiveness. 

Responsibilities:

• Data Modeling: Design and develop advanced data models in SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere, supporting reporting needs across multiple business functions. 
• Data Integration: Connect SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere to various data sources (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, external databases), ensuring accurate, consistent, and real-time data flow. 
• ETL Development: Create and manage ETL processes using SAP BW/4HANA transformation capabilities and SAP Datasphere to streamline data operations. 
• Reporting Layer Development: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to design and implement a robust reporting layer within SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere, ensuring it serves as a foundation for scalable, real-time analytics and supports data-driven decision-making across the organization 
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to ensure BI solutions align with business requirements. 
• Testing and Validation: Conduct testing to validate data accuracy, performance, and overall quality of BI solutions, identifying and resolving issues as needed. 
• User Training and Support: Provide end-user training and ongoing support for dashboards and reports, fostering effective data usage across the organization. 

Required skills

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus. 

Experience:

• Minimum of 5+ years in business intelligence development, with proven expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and reporting using SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere (including experience adapting to new features and functionalities as Datasphere evolves continuously). 
• Demonstrated ability to develop and integrate data models across SAP environments, utilizing both BW/4HANA and Datasphere for robust data warehousing and real-time analytics. 
• Strong background in developing a comprehensive reporting layer within SAP environments, ideally with experience in architecting data flows and integrating SAP Datasphere with additional SAP and third-party data sources to support seamless, scalable analytics. 

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere.
• Strong understanding of data integration techniques, including connecting SAP systems with third-party databases.
• Skilled in ETL tools and methodologies within SAP, using transformations, data flow modeling, and extraction logic. 
• Experience in SQL and data manipulation for effective data extraction and transformation.
• Optional: Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for dashboard and visualization development is a plus. 
• Additional Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SQL scripting for complex data manipulation and query optimization, along with familiarity with ABAP, Python, or JavaScript for custom logic, data transformations, or automation within SAP environments, is a plus. 

Certifications:

• SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP BW/4HANA (Preferred). 
• Additional certifications in SAP Datasphere or SAP HANA are advantageous.

Compensation and Payment terms:

• Hourly rate of €35-€50, depending on experience.
