Opportunity overview
You will lead a team working on projects involving modern cloud data lake implementations, leveraging Databricks, CI/CD and cloud services as your daily driver. You'll balance technical leadership with hands-on development work.
Your impact zone
Leading and mentoring a team of data engineers while remaining actively involved in development.
Designing, implementing, and optimizing modern cloud-based solutions.
Building and launching new data models and data pipelines.
Defining technical standards and architectural decisions for the team.
Implementing best practices in data engineering including data integrity, quality, and documentation.
Optimization of existing analytical solutions.
Conducting code reviews and ensuring high quality deliverables.
Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Being a role model and driving continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications & tech toolbox
5+ years of experience delivering complex data warehouse / data lake / business intelligence solutions.
1+ years of experience in a technical or team lead role.
3+ years of experience working with cloud services (Azure / GCP / AWS).
Strong expertise in Python.
Advanced SQL and data analysis skills, deep knowledge of relational databases (preferably SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
Strong knowledge of public cloud architecture, security, networking concepts and best practices (MS Azure preferred).
Expertise in DWH data modeling practices and ETL/ELT development.
Excellent conceptual and analytical skills – the ability to define, analyze and document complex business and technical requirements.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Experience in mentoring and developing engineers.
Extra stardust for
Experience with Apache Spark or Databricks platform.
Experience with Azure DevOps environment.
Experience with Apache Airflow.
Certifications in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Experience in agile methodologies and project management.
