Opportunity overview

As a Mid Power BI Developer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering impactful analytics solutions across our clients' cloud data platforms. You'll work closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Expect cutting-edge cloud environments (Azure-first), well-structured semantic models, and high-visibility dashboards used across international organizations.

Your Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models for global clients across diverse industries.

• Developing and optimizing DAX measures, calculated columns, and data models to ensure accuracy, performance, and scalability.

• Collaborating with Data Engineers to understand data structures and ensure BI layer integration with upstream pipelines and cloud data platforms.

• Working with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate them into clear, intuitive visualizations.

• Maintaining data quality and consistency across reports, with attention to lineage, documentation, and best practices.

• Contributing to the development of BI standards, naming conventions, and reusable component libraries.

• Participating in CI/CD practices and version control for Power BI assets (e.g., via Azure DevOps, git integration).

• Staying up-to-date with the Power BI ecosystem and proposing improvements to enhance the analytics offering.

  
  

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development in a commercial environment.

• Strong DAX proficiency - ability to write complex, optimized measures and understand evaluation context.

• Solid understanding of data modeling concepts: star schema, snowflake schema, relationships, and cardinality.

• Experience connecting Power BI to a variety of data sources including Azure Synapse, SQL databases, Databricks, or data lakehouses.

• Advanced SQL skills - comfortable querying and transforming data at the source level.

• Ability to work independently, communicate with stakeholders, and take ownership of analytics deliverables.

• Good understanding of report performance optimization and Power BI service deployment (workspaces, row-level security, dataflows).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Power BI Premium or Fabric.

• Familiarity with Azure data ecosystem (Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, ADLS).

• Exposure to Python or PySpark for data preparation.

• Knowledge of CI/CD for Power BI assets (Azure DevOps, Tabular Editor, ALM Toolkit).

• Basic understanding of data engineering concepts and Lakehouse architecture.
