Senior Data Engineer

Salary range: B2B - 25-28 E/h + VAT 💰

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team full-time in Poland.

About the role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. This role will involve working on products related to security and data encryption for a major credit card company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, test, and migrate ETL workflows

• Diagnose and resolve functional and performance/scalability issues

• Develop functionality and collaborate with the team to resolve product issues

• Write highly testable, automatable, and performant code throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

• Develop products and deliver features and updates based on the product roadmap

• Participate in team activities, including daily meetings, planning, and retrospectives

Requirements:

• Expertise in AWS Glue, RDS, S3, Redshift, Step Functions, Databricks, Spark, Python, and SQL

• Experience with AWS Cloud (5+ years)

• Experience with SQL (3+ years)

• Experience with Python/PySpark (3+ years)

• Proven experience in technical design and development as part of a team

• Ability to write clean and testable code

• Understanding of various types of software architecture

Desirable: 

• Experience with other data-driven technologies

• Experience with database and SQL development

• Experience applying data quality frameworks

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

Personal skills:

• Communication: Fluent or upper-intermediate English speaking and writing skills are essential. The ability to express ideas, thoughts, and questions concisely and in a structured way is important

• Accountability & Drive: Adherence to the "said and done" principle and taking accountability for one's scope of work. Proactivity in delivering results and suggesting new ideas or solutions is valued

• Self-development: A strong desire to learn, grow, and constantly improve one's skills
