Lead Product Owner

Project Description:

We build tools that help the life science industry untangle the mysteries of biology — or at least make their data less terrifying. Picture a gothic cathedral of microservices, APIs stitched together, and scientists relying on our platform to fuel groundbreaking research.

We need a Product Owner / Team Lead to steer our crew of developers through this maze. Your role? Be the fearless navigator, the interpreter of user needs, and the benevolent ruler who keeps the roadmap from descending into chaos. You’ll bridge the gap between vision and execution, ensuring our features are not only delivered but delivered with purpose.

Your Tasks:

• Define and prioritize product backlog — separating shiny ideas from actual necessities

• Translate complex scientific requirements into clear, actionable tasks for the dev team

• Lead sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives like a conductor guiding a chaotic orchestra

• Collaborate with stakeholders, QA, and developers to align goals and expectations

• Identify risks early and extinguish fires before they become production infernos

• Keep the team motivated, focused, and able to evade any deadlines

Requirements:

• 5+ years as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar leadership role in software delivery

• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum, backlog management, and release planning

• Experience working closely with development teams (you don’t need to code, but you must speak their language)

• Strong analytical skills for breaking down complex requirements into deliverables

• Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and occasionally telepathic

• Bonus points for experience in life sciences, data-heavy products, or scaling SaaS platforms
