Job description

Offer description

For one of our international client we are looking for BAU Support Specialist – Integration Platforms with webMethods / MuleSoft / AWS experience to ensure operational stability, incident resolution, and continuous service improvement for enterprise integration platforms and their critical interfaces, with primary operational focus on MuleSoft- and AWS-based integration services.

  • 60% on-site, 40% remotely

Required Skills & Experience – Core

  • 2–3+ years of experience in production support or BAU roles for integration or middleware platforms.

  • Strong incident triage capability including log analysis, error pattern recognition, dependency tracing, and clear stakeholder communication.

  • ITIL-aligned operational mindset covering incident, problem, and change management.

Platform / Technical Skills (Desired Mix)

  • MuleSoft operational support: API-led integration monitoring, message replay and retry, identification of stuck flows, and log or trace correlation.

  • AWS Glue: job execution, triggers, retries, IAM permission issues, and data catalog or crawler dependencies.

  • AWS API Gateway: API availability monitoring, error patterns, throttling limits, and integration failures.

  • AWS Lambda: execution failures, timeout handling, concurrency limits, and retry behaviour.

  • Amazon EventBridge: event delivery issues, rule failures, missing or duplicated events.

  • AWS CloudWatch: log analysis, metric interpretation, alarm handling, and troubleshooting of integration-related failures across AWS services, Mulesoft logs.

  • Understanding of event-driven integration patterns and their common operational failure modes.

  • SQL basics for validation and reconciliation checks.

  • Scripting (Python or Bash) for operational diagnostics or automation is a plus.

Your responsibilities

  1. Monitor, triage, and resolve BAU incidents across webMethods, MuleSoft, and AWS platforms using ITSM processes (e.g. ServiceNow).

  2. Drive restoration for common failure patterns including integration process failures, platform outages, scheduled job or batch failures, and data transfer or synchronization issues.

  3. Own BAU communications end-to-end including initial acknowledgement, ETA and risk statements, business impact updates, and closure notes

  4. Work with application teams, platform owners, infrastructure teams, and vendors for L2/L3 escalation, defect resolution, and release-related operational readiness.

  5. Participate in CAB and change processes to ensure BAU stability during deployments and changes.

  6. Support user access requests and role mapping for integration tooling, ensuring least-privilege alignment.

  7. Coordinate with Infrastructure and Security teams on certificate management, credentials, IAM permissions, and environment-related configuration issues.

  8. Perform daily health checks across MuleSoft runtimes and AWS-native integration components, including API Gateway availability and error rates, Lambda execution health (timeouts, throttling), EventBridge rules and delivery, queues, backlogs, retries, and alert dashboards.

  9. Execute approved retries, restarts, and reprocessing actions.

  10. Validate end-to-end data movement and downstream reconciliation post-recovery.
