Job description

An in-house application developed within a life sciences / pharmaceutical environment is used to distribute customer surveys, collect responses, and present insights via an internal web portal.

The Customer Experience (CX) team is looking for a Business Analyst to collaborate with internal Product Owners, business stakeholders, and an external development team.

The Business Analyst plays a key role in bridging business needs with technical implementation. This includes gathering and analyzing requirements, improving processes, and ensuring that delivered solutions align with project goals and business objectives, as well as defining and monitoring key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collaborate with Product Owners, solution architects, and technical leads to gather, document, and prioritize business and functional requirements. Translate them into clear specifications for development teams.

  • User Story Development: Create user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria. Ensure they are well-defined, testable, aligned with project goals, and properly documented in JIRA.

  • Process Analysis & Optimization: Analyze business processes, especially data workflows (e.g., survey tools, data platforms, cloud environments), to identify improvement and automation opportunities. Define and monitor KPIs.

  • Stakeholder Management: Work closely with stakeholders (POs, architects, developers, QA teams) to ensure alignment and shared understanding throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and system diagrams. Ensure documentation is up to date and accessible.

  • UAT Support (optional): Support testing teams in defining test scenarios and participate in User Acceptance Testing when needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in IT / software development projects

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Understanding of data structures and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP such as SAP)

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

  • Experience with requirement elicitation, user stories, and documentation

  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Business mindset with the ability to align technical solutions with business goals

  • Experience in startup-like environments (nice to have)

Collaboration & Communication:

This role requires strong collaboration and communication skills. You will work with cross-functional teams, facilitate discussions, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment between business and technology. Clear communication is essential for documenting requirements, managing changes, and maintaining a shared understanding across the team.
