Role Overview

Senior IT / Data Analyst

We are looking for an experienced and motivated IT / Data Analyst to join a data-driven, international delivery team. In this role, you will act as a key link between business and IT, supporting development teams through high-quality analysis, system design, and data modelling.

You will be responsible for driving both functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring clarity, alignment, and traceability across multiple stakeholders. The role combines strong analytical thinking with a deep understanding of data, systems, and business processes, enabling the delivery of sustainable and value-adding solutions in a complex enterprise environment.

Project Context

The project operates within a large-scale enterprise and data-centric environment, supporting critical business processes and analytical platforms. The focus is on data modelling, system design, and investigative data analysis within the IIS area, ensuring that data structures and solutions meet business expectations and are efficiently consumed by development teams.

The role requires close collaboration with developers, architects, IT analysts, and business stakeholders across international, cross-border teams, working in an agile setup.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis & Solution Design

• Perform IT analysis, investigative data analysis, system design, and data modelling to support development teams

• Take a leading or facilitating role in driving functional and non-functional requirements across multiple stakeholders

• Translate complex business needs into clear, structured business and technical requirements

• Build deep understanding of business processes and how they are supported by data and IT solutions

Data & Requirements Management

• Develop strong understanding of data models, their consumption by development teams, and alignment with business requirements

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and usability within the IIS area

• Work with standardized and canonical data models, supporting their usage and evolution

Collaboration & Delivery

• Act as a bridge between business and IT teams, ensuring transparency and alignment of requirements

• Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and other analysts during analysis, refinement, and delivery phases

• Support agile ceremonies such as refinement, planning, and reviews

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Strong analytical mindset and structured approach to problem solving

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with very good command of English

• Passion for data analysis, requirements elicitation, and problem solving

• Solid business and technical background

• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments and international, cross-cultural teams

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and quality-driven approach

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with openness to evolving responsibilities

Technical Experience & Background

• Experience in relational database design and querying, including performance optimization

• Familiarity with Big Data platforms, including data querying, loading, and optimization

• Hands-on experience with some of the following technologies:

  • Hadoop

  • Hive / HQL

  • Impala

  • PySpark

• Experience working with JSON and AVRO data formats

• Experience using and extending standardized / canonical data models

• Proven ability to define and structure business and technical requirements in a clear and actionable way

• Experience with at least one programming language: Python, R, or Java

• Practical experience using Jira (project tracking) and Bitbucket (version control)

• Strong collaboration skills when working with developers, architects, and IT analysts

Nice to Have

• Background in finance and/or banking

• Experience in data-related projects within regulated environments
