The Onboarding and Know Your Customer (OBKYC) Value Stream brings together business, operations, and technology experts to design and deliver group-wide onboarding and KYC capabilities.We focus on developing scalable, compliant, and customer-centric solutions that enhance digital experiences, improve operational resilience, and support innovation across the organisation.

Our mission is to enable consistent, data-driven onboarding and KYC processes across all business lines — from large corporates to individual clients — while ensuring data accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeller / Architect to join our Client Services & OBKYC Technology group in Poland.You will play a key role in shaping the data architecture, models, and API schemas that underpin our onboarding and KYC systems globally.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-impact team working on complex data integration challenges and to help define the strategic data architecture for one of the most critical domains within the organisation.

What You Will Do

• Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Product Owners, and Business stakeholders, to translate business needs into robust data requirements and models.

• Analyse, document, and evolve existing data structures to align with strategic data models and enterprise architecture.

• Partner with Enterprise and Solution Architects to define and implement a strategic data architecture consistent with the organisation’s vision.

• Collaborate with Engineers to design and develop API data contracts and ensure alignment with best practices.

• Act as a centre of expertise for all data matters across the OBKYC and Client Services value streams.

• Drive adoption of best practices in data modelling, governance, and metadata management.

• Support and mentor team members on data architecture, tools, and techniques.

• Promote consistency in data standards and integration patterns across multiple platforms.

• Ensure smooth collaboration across distributed teams and maintain up-to-date documentation in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Proven experience working as a Data Architect or Data Modeller in a large-scale, distributed environment.

• Strong understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling techniques and related tools (e.g., Visual Paradigm, Erwin).

• Expertise in RDBMS and NoSQL databases (preferably PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and familiarity with Google Cloud Platform or AWS data tooling.

• Hands-on experience with REST API data contract design in microservice-based architectures.

• Deep understanding of data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and reference data management in an agile delivery environment.

• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, including technical and business leaders.

• Strong programming experience — ideally with Python and Java.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, GitHub).

• Experience in onboarding or KYC/CDD systems or similar data-driven domains is a strong advantage.

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
