System Analyst

Andersen is hiring a System Analyst for a project supporting a large-scale banking transformation, translating business needs into technical requirements for distributed systems and data platforms. 

The customer is a financial services organization providing banking products and digital solutions for individual and business clients. The company operates through an established service network and online platforms and is part of a larger international financial group, supporting ongoing development of its services for a broad client base. 

The project is focused on a large-scale digital transformation program in the banking sector. It involves analyzing business needs and translating them into technical requirements, supporting the design of distributed systems, middleware, and data platform solutions across the bank’s technology landscape. 

Responsibilities: 

• Conducting structured interviews and workshops with business and IT stakeholders to elicit, validate and document functional and non-functional requirements. 

• Analyzing existing systems, processes and integration flows to produce AS-IS landscape documentation using ArchiMate, BPMN and C4 standards. 

• Defining and documenting TO-BE business and system requirements for distributed architecture components including middleware, API layer, event-driven services and data platforms. 

• Producing detailed use cases, user stories, process diagrams and data flow documentation. 

• Collaborating with Enterprise and Integration Architects to ensure requirements are traceable to architectural decisions. 

• Supporting gap analysis between current core banking capabilities and target distributed architecture. 

• Maintaining requirements traceability matrix and artefact inventory in Atlassian Confluence. 

• Facilitating requirements review and sign-off sessions with senior stakeholders and architecture governance bodies. 

Requirements: 

• Experience as a System Analyst (main) / Business Analyst in banking or financial services for 5+ years. 

• Solid understanding of core banking systems, middleware integration, and digital channel architecture. 

• Proficiency with ArchiMate, BPMN 2.0, C4 modelling and UML. 

• Hands-on experience documenting integration flows and API contracts (REST / HTTPS). 

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture concepts (Kafka, CDC, async messaging). 

• Experience with Atlassian Confluence and JIRA. 

• Strong facilitation and workshop skills with senior stakeholders. 

• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above. 

Nice to Have: 

• Experience with CEE banking institutions or large universal banks. 

• Knowledge of EU financial regulatory frameworks (GDPR, AML, PSD2, EBA guidelines).  

• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and AKS-based microservice environments.
