SysOps Engineer in the EU
Andersen is hiring a SysOps Engineer in the EU to ensure stable and secure operation of a government digital platform, maintaining Linux and containerized environments with a focus on availability, security, and compliance.
The customer is an organization operating in the environmental domain, focused on data analysis, research, regulatory support, and the development of guidelines related to natural resources, environmental quality, and risk mitigation, as well as preparing analytical materials and informational outputs for a broad range of stakeholders.
The project is focused on ensuring the stable, secure, and continuous operation of a government digital infrastructure and its applications. The team is responsible for operating and monitoring Linux-based and containerized environments, maintaining databases, handling incidents, and ensuring high availability, security, and compliance through close coordination with central IT services.
Responsibilities:
- Operating servers and applications.
- Performing Linux administration (SUSE 12/15).
- Monitoring systems and conducting system analysis.
- Operating and maintaining Docker environments.
- Administering databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Handling incident management and troubleshooting.
- Coordinating activities with IT-DLZ.
- Ensuring system security and high availability.
Must-haves:
- Experience as a SysOps Engineer in tech or digital products for 2+ years.
- Hands-on experience operating Linux-based systems.
- Experience monitoring, logging, and performance analysis.
- Knowledge of Docker and DevOps principles.
- Experience with application clusters.
- Basic knowledge of IT security and system hardening.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
- Level of German – from Pre-Intermediate and above.
